D Group is a business 'briefing programme' based in Mayfair London.

Holding over 100 events each year, D Group describes itself as a 'neutral ground where business, finance, leading institutions, professional services and politics meet to network, hear experts and leaders talk , debate and exchange views'.

Among its activities are seminars on topics of pressing current interest; ad hoc clusters of members created to help each other with common concerns; and bespoke briefings tailored to delivering an individual company’s message.

Its affiliate 'F Group' also 'delivers top quality training and networking events, allowing fast-track future top management to learn from the best and create peer-group networks amongst a sectorally wide range of attendees'.

In 2013 it ran an event looking at the impact of shale gas in the UK, with a dinner hosted by the then government adviser and ex-BP chief executive John Browne, who was also at the time the chairman of Riverstone Holdings, part owner of controversial UK fracking firm Cuadrilla Resources.

The event was attended by a range of shale gas executives such as Andrew Austin co-founder and CEO of IGas Energy and high ranking government officials including DECC permanent secretary Stephen Lovegrove.
