Background
Craig Jones is a former UK senior civil servant and diplomat who has been Alstom's director of government affairs since 2010.
Jones was a deputy director at the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) (2008-09) and the Department of Energy and Climate Change from 2006-08, and also was private secretary to the environment minister from 1997 until 1999.
