Alstom Power says it is 'a world leader in transport infrastructure, power generation and electrical grid'.[1]
Among other activities, it builds turbines for nuclear power stations. Its website says it has '50 years’ experience in servicing nuclear plants' and that "30% of all nuclear power plants worldwide run with Alstom turbine generator sets'.[2]

Revolving door executives
- Joan MacNaughton, a former senior civil servant who was director-general of energy at the former Department of Trade and Industry. She is now Global Adviser Sustainable Policies at Alstom and a member of the High Level Panel for the CDM Policy Dialogue. [3]
