Kevin Pringle is a partner at Glasgow-based communications consultancy Charlotte Street Partners.
Pringle was the Scottish National Party's strategic communications director until July 2015 and before that was a special adviser to Alex Salmond.[1]
Career
Before working in politics, Pringle worked for Centrica as Scottish Gas corporate affairs manager.[2]
Pringle was Alex Salmond's 'king of spin'[3] from 2007 to 2012, when he took up his communications role within the Scottish National Party. During his time with the SNP, Pringle oversaw the Scottish referendum in 2014 and the huge 2015 general election victory.[4]
Pringle will officially take up his role with Charlotte Street Partners in August 2015[5] and follows Luke Skipper in leaving the party in preference of a lobbying role.[6]
