Jamie Reuben (James Adam Reuben, born May 1986) is a British businessman, the son of David Reuben and nephew of Simon Reuben of Reuben Brothers.[1][2] He has sat on the board of Newcastle United since the club's takeover in October 2021, representing RB Sports & Media, the Reuben Brothers' investment arm.[3] He has been a trustee and director of the Reuben Foundation since 20 January 2010.[4]

Career

The Guardian reported in October 2021 that "Jamie Reuben, David's 34-year-old son, has joined Newcastle's board" as part of the consortium led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, in which the Reuben Brothers then held 10%.[5] According to Reuben Brothers, RB Sports & Media has held a 15% stake in Newcastle United since a reorganisation of the consortium in 2024, and Reuben "sits on the club's board and plays a key role in driving its strategic vision".[6] In 2024 The Athletic described him as the only board member not representing the Public Investment Fund.[1]

Companies House records him as a director of Metro Bank PLC from 1 October 2011 to 20 January 2015.[2]

Links to Israel and the IDF

While Reuben has been a trustee, the Reuben Foundation's grants notes have named "The Association for Israel's Soldiers" – the Israeli Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers, which supports soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces – as a grant recipient: £1,425,032 in the year to 31 December 2023 (2022: nil)[8] and £2,193,000 in the year to 31 December 2024, the largest grant that year.[9] The foundation also gave £30,547 to UK Friends of AWIS in 2014.[10]

Identity matching

The Charity Commission trustee "James Adam Reuben" and the Companies House officer James Adam Reuben (born May 1986) are matched on full name, the Reuben Foundation appointment, and the Newcastle United directorships reported in the press (high confidence).
