Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[8] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[9][10][11][12] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[13]
  • Grants to charities named in the cheque-cashing class inquiry. FY2025 material grants include £60,000 to One Heart and £60,000 to Yad Vochesed Association Ltd; FY2024 grants included Beis Aharon Trust Limited £75,000, Friends of Mercaz Hatorah Belz Macnivka £60,000 and Mifal Hachesed Vehatzedokoh £65,000.[2] Charities named One Heart – Lev Echod (1167227), Yad Vochessed Association Limited (1112797), Beis Aharon Charitable Trust Limited (1010420), Friends of Mercaz Hatorah Belz Macnivka (1126075) and Mifal Hachesed Vehatzedokoh (1139320) were placed under the Commission's class inquiry in May 2025.[9] The accounts give no charity numbers, so the matches are by name only; the release makes no finding about the Joshua Trust.
  • Shared address with auditor. The trust's address, 7 Craven Park Court, is also the address given for its auditor, Shears & Partners.[2]
