UK defence, security, surveillance and dual-use technology companies with documented business ties to 'Israel'
Profiles of UK-registered defence, security, surveillance and dual-use technology companies with documented business ties to Israel
UK-registered defence, security, surveillance and dual-use technology companies with documented business ties to Israel is a compilation of profiles of 39 companies on the Companies House register[1] that were chosen only for business conduct and corporate ties to Israel. The ties covered are an Israeli parent company, person with significant control (PSC) or beneficial owner; an Israeli registered address; supply of arms or components to Israel or the IDF, through UK export licences or F-35 component work;[2] joint ventures with Israeli defence firms; and Israel MOD or security-service contracts. No company was chosen for any individual's nationality, and nationality is not recorded anywhere.
Most of the IDF/MOD supply and occupied-territory activity documented here belongs to the parent group rather than to the UK-registered entity, and each profile says whether anything is documented for the UK entity itself.
Compiled 14 October 2026 from public sources. A follow-up to UK-registered companies with documented links to business activity in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories (and the occupied Golan). Companies House (CH) data come from the public web register (find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk). Nearly all accounts PDFs on CH are scanned images, so the figures were read by OCR (Tesseract) and should be checked against the linked PDFs before any formal use.
Scope, method and caveats
- Selection rule: companies were chosen only for business conduct and corporate ties: Israeli parent/PSC/beneficial owner; Israeli registered address; supply of arms or components to Israel or the IDF (UK export-licence data obtained by CAAT via FOI, or F-35 component work); joint ventures with Israeli defence firms; Israel MOD/security-service contracts. No company was chosen for any individual's nationality, and nationality is not recorded anywhere (CH shows it; it was removed).
- Category codes: P = Israeli parent company / PSC / beneficial owner (former = no longer; group = Israeli-founded group or R&D base, non-Israeli PSC); J = joint venture with an Israeli defence company; S = arms/component supplier, either by UK export licences to Israel or by work on the global F-35 programme, which supplies Israel; A = Israeli entity registered on the UK register with an Israeli address.
- F-35 caveat: being on the F-35 Open General Export Licence or holding F-35 subcontracts means work for the global programme. CAAT notes it is unclear which UK parts go into Israel's F-35Is. Since Sept 2024 the OGEL cannot be used to ship directly to Israel, but parts can still reach Israel via the US or the global spares pool.[3] Licence counts (SIELs/OIELs, Oct 2021–Dec 2024) are CAAT's, from DBT FOI responses.[2] What the licences covered is not public.
- Directors: dates of birth are month and year only, as CH shows them. Service dates are shown as month/year. † marks an appointment whose CH correspondence address is in Israel. It is an address fact only. Corporate directors and nominees are included where CH lists them as directors.
- Market caps are third-party estimates from companiesmarketcap.com (Oct 2026), in USD, and relate to the listed parent unless stated.
- Parent vs UK entity: most IDF/MOD supply and occupied-territory activity documented here belongs to the parent group. Each profile says whether anything is documented for the UK entity itself.
- "Unknown", "not found" or "none documented" mean the sources reviewed held no verifiable information. They do not mean the link is absent. Links to the WZO, JNF/KKL, Jewish Agency and Keren Hayesod were searched for the Israeli parents (Elbit, Rafael, IAI and others). Only one minor parent-level item was found (Rafael volunteers on a Jewish Agency Partnership2Gether project).
- Links were checked automatically. Reuters, NYT, SEC EDGAR, Times of Israel, Army Technology, Defense Update and Business Wire refused automated requests (401/403/timeout), so those links were taken from search results and not opened. All others returned HTTP 200.
- Protest activity is reported as documented in news sources. Palestine Action was proscribed on 5 Jul 2025.[4]

Israel connection:
- Targeting lasers for the F-35's Electro-Optical Targeting System, made in Edinburgh.[125] The F-35 OGEL covers exports to the global F-35 programme. CAAT notes that it is unclear which UK sites make which parts for which F-35 customers. Since Sept 2024 the OGEL cannot be used to ship directly to Israel, but parts can still reach Israeli jets via the US or the global spares pool.[3][125]

Israel connection:
- F-35 subcontract data.[161] Whether the 'Smiths Aerospace Group' total relates to this entity (its former name) is not certain. The F-35 OGEL covers exports to the global F-35 programme. CAAT notes that it is unclear which UK sites make which parts for which F-35 customers. Since Sept 2024 the OGEL cannot be used to ship directly to Israel, but parts can still reach Israeli jets via the US or the global spares pool.[3][125]
