Nuclear Industry Council

The Nuclear Industry Council was launched in November 2012 by the UK government.
It will be headed jointly by Energy Secretary Ed Davey and Nuclear Industry Association chairman Labour politician John Hutton and is intended to replace the Nuclear Development Forum. According to the Department of Energy and Climate Change the Council is expected to "play a strategic role in ensuring that the UK nuclear industry capitalizes on the opportunity that nuclear new build presents".[1]
