The Australian Petroleum and Exploration Association calls itself 'the voice of Australia's oil and gas industry'.

It has more than 80 full member companies.

Members

Members include Dart Energy, a firm which is involved in coal bed methane or CBM extraction in Scotland and which holds a fracking licence. A Dart spokesman told the Mirror in May 2013 that the firm had no plans for fracking in Scotland.

Several other firms operating in the North Sea, including Chevron and ExxonMobil, are also members of the Australian industry body. [1]
