Conflict was a quarterly academic journal focusing mainly on terrorism, published by the Institute for Conflict and Policy Studies, by Crane Russak in 1977.[1] It merged in 1991 with Terrorism: An International Journal to form Studies in Conflict and Terrorism. Conflict, should not to be confused with Conflict Quarterly/The Journal of Conflict Studies a Canadian based journal associated with terrorologists David Charters and Maurice Tugwell.
The Journal is devoted to 'all warfare short of war'. The quarterly journal 'focuses on informal wars, including guerilla warfare, insurgency, revolution, and terrorism. [2]

Conflict examines the roles of nongovernmental, intergovernmental and governmental organisations as political communicators. The journal is said to 'produce original research on propaganda and psychological warfare and on peacekeeping, peacemaking, and peacebuilding assignments of poltiical communicators.' [2] The journal therefore addresses 'security challenges fuelled by religious and nationalist strife, moribund peace processes, disputes over natural resources, and transnational organized crime.' [3]
