Ramesh Chhabra was spokesman and special adviser to chancellor of the exchequer George Osborne until 2015.[1]

Following the election in May 2015, Chhabra has decided to resign after five years at the Treasury. [2]

As special adviser to Osborne, Chhabra was paid an annual salary of £60,000. [3]

Background

After graduating from the department of Politics and International Studies at Hull University in 2002,[4] Chhabra served for eight years as press aide to Conservative MP David Davis, latterly working for Dominic Grieve.[5]
