Tony Danker is a former special adviser to the HM Treasury.
Danker now works for The Guardian as director for the Guardian News and Media management team (GNM) formerly known as Guardian Media Group, with the responsibility to broader the development of the GNM. Danker most recently led the successful launch of Guardian Australia and continues to lead the International, Rights and Syndication teams. [1]
Background
Before joining the Guardian, Danker worked as a special adviser to the HM Treasury, working with Liam Byrne from 2008 to 2010, in this role he focused on public sector reform and the economy.
Danker was director of communications at public sector consultancy McKinsey & Company from 1998 to 2004, before working as their senior government consultant. [2]
