Ellie Shawcross is Economic Adviser to Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne.[1]
Background
Shawcross, a 27 year old Oxford graduate, worked for Boris Johnson during his 2008 mayoral election campaign, holding responsiblility for writing large parts of his manifesto.[2] She is the daughter of historian William Shawcross and an "old friend" of neoconservative author Douglas Murray.[3]
