Sir Charles Dunstone (born in 1964) is the founder and CEO of The Carphone Warehouse Group plc.
Contents
Career
In 1989 Dunstone founded The Carphone Warehouse Group plc, which merged with Dixons in August 2014 to become Dixons Carphone.[1]
In February 2000 he was appointed as a non-executive director of Halifax and following the merger of Bank of Scotland and Halifax in September 2001, Dunstone was appointed as a non-executive director of HBOS plc.[2]
Dunstone was appointed to the board of the Daily Mail and General Trust in 2001 as an independent non-executive director [3]

In 2005 Dunstone was one of 63 business people who signed a letter supporting the UK Labour Party.[4]
Political links
Dunstone has been photographed sunbathing with Tony Blair on a yacht in Barbados [5] and Blair, Rebekah Brooks, David Cameron and Peter Mandelson were guests at his wedding in 2009.[6]
