Notes
- ↑ Almost all of the material about ‘Jacobs’ is contained in chapter 13, ‘The Clown and the Truck Driver’, between pages 226 and p234. All further references to him outside these pages are generally alongside ‘Watson’ and for the purposes of a yardstick against which to measure the actions of Mark Kennedy.
- ↑ Note that whilst this article does not explicitly reference ‘Marco Jacobs’, it seems reasonable, on the balance of probabilities, to infer from the context that he is the male officer referred to “whose identity was compromised [and who] has been moved for security reasons”. ‘Watson’ and ‘Jacobs’ were essentially ‘outed’ publicly at the same time, to the extent that they were initially referred to as ‘Officer A’ and ‘Officer B’.
