John Slinger is a consultant at Hanover Communications.
He has previously worked at Quiller Consultants and held many roles within the Labour Party, where he is the Vice-Chair of Rugby Constituency Labour Party.[1]

Career
Slinger started his career as an aide and researcher for Rt Hon Ann Clwyd MP between March 2003 and August 2006 and for Julia Drown MP (January-July 2004).
From August 2006 and August 2007, he was a political consultant at Connect Public Affairs, then joined Quiller Consultants also as a consultant.
Slinger is also a fellow at the Human Security Centre from February 2013.[2]
In November 2014 he joined Hanover Communications, run by former Conservative Party communication chief Charles Lewington.[3]
He is also the co-founder and chair of Pragmatic Radicalism, an organisation bringing together people from across the Labour Party and beyond in thinking up new policy ideas and stimulating debate. The organisation’s first pamphlet 'Pragmatic Radicalism: Ideas from Labour's New Generation' was launched in the House of Commons in July 2011, with speeches by Ed Miliband’s senior aide Lord Wood and shadow minister Luciana Berger.[3]
