Gibb Charitable Trust (working name InPartnership Worldwide) was a trust (declaration of trust of 15 June 1989) registered on 7 August 1989; its objects were "the advancement of the Christian religion and the education of the public".[1][2] Its 2013 register entry described its aim as supporting "organisations working for the advancement of the Christian religion, with an emphasis on third world countries", and listed Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ethiopia, India, Israel, Mongolia, Peru and Romania as areas of operation.[3] The archived register names its trustees as Dr Anthony Douglas Gibb, Rona Gibb and Alfred William Tarring, with a correspondence address in Devon (see Historical trustees below); the accounts list A.D. Gibb, O.R.W. Gibb and A.W. Tarring.[4] It was removed on 29 September 2014 as "ceased to exist".[2]

Objects and activities

The charity's registered objects read: "THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION AND THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC."[1]

The register describes its activities as: "The aim of the charity is to support financially organisations working for the advancement of the Christian religion, with an emphasis on third world countries. This includes disabled people, especially where these are being marginalized, and education."[1]

Areas of operation recorded on the register: India, Israel.[1]

Funding in Israel

Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF

Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.

Evidence of activity beyond the 1949 armistice line
Finding Confidence
No place in Israel is named in any available record. Not established

Support for the IDF: No IDF or military funding is stated in the 2010 accounts.[4]

Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry naming this charity was found; it is not named in the 2025–2026 cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements or statement of results, and the charities in the August 2026 settlements class inquiry have not been named.[11][12][13][14][15]
  • Unexplained final-year income. Income was below £45,000 in each year from 2007 to 2010[3] and £36,520 in 2011 and £20,052 in 2012, but the register extract records income of £241,800 and spending of £228,979 for 2013, the last reported year; no accounts for 2011–2013 are available to explain the change.[1]
  • Late return. In January 2013 the register showed the annual return for 2011 as 64 days overdue.[3]

The register extract does not record whether the charity owned or leased land or property (the field is blank for this removed charity).[1] No title registers were purchased.[21] Candidate titles and addresses (CCOD dataset and register/accounts data):[22]
