Atlas and Rabbi Berman (the Rebbe of the Chevrah) delivered addresses, stressing the significance of the 15th Kislev. Rev. [[M, Fomin]] recited the Minchah prayers and the Haskoroth. After ' the gervice refreshments were served and a collection on behalf of the Chevrah was made. As a result a considerable sum was handed over to the newly-appointed treasurer, Mr. [[Myer Woolfson]]. An appeal for support for the Chevrah was made by the parnas of the synagogue, Mr. [[A. Mandel]], and by Mr. [[Michael Black]], JP. Mr.[[S. M. Lipsey]], who presided, was accorded a vote of thanks by Mr. [[Myer Woolfson]].
