Steve Race works for lobbying firm Teneo Blue Rubicon.

He was previously at lobbying firm Fleishman-Hillard and before that worked as a senior researcher to Labour MP Ben Bradshaw while he was a health minister and culture minister.

Race stood in 2015 General Election as the Labour candidate for East Devon - traditionally a Conservative stronghold.[1][2]

After university, Race worked as a commercial first aid training adviser until March 2005, then as a widening participation officer at the University of Manchester until 2007.

Race was senior researcher to Ben Bradshaw from September 2007 until February 2011, when he joined Fleishman-Hillard's public affairs and corporate communications team.

In November 2012 he was elected chair of the Young Fabians, a role he held for a year.[3]
