History

Stand for Israel was launched in June 2002 at an announcement made by Republican party strategist, Ralph Reed and Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein - the founder and president of the IFCJ. Eckstein described the new organisation as the 'Christian AIPAC'.[2]

In 2006 former House of Representatives majority leader Tom DeLay spoke at a Stand for Israel dinner in Washington.[3]
