Salem Media Group is a US media company that describes itself as a "Christian & Conservative Media Leader". It runs radio, television, podcast and digital outlets carrying faith and political programmes.[1] The Intercept reported in 2026 that Brad Parscale, whose firm Clock Tower X was hired in 2025 to work for the Israeli government, was Salem's chief strategy officer. It said he had been "hired in part to influence" the company.[2] (Critical.)
Israeli government contract
Clock Tower X's services agreement with Havas Media Germany, which was acting for the State of Israel, included "Integration of narrative messaging into Salem Media Network properties".[3] Clock Tower X later reported paying Salem's subsidiary Salem Media Representatives US$566,002.50 for advertising in five payments between 29 October 2025 and 14 January 2026.[4]
The Intercept reported that Parscale "was hired to integrate pro-Israel messaging into Salem Media shows – which feature conservative commentators such as Hugh Hewitt, Larry Elder, and Scott Jennings". It said one of his team members on the Israel contract, Ashley Evdokimo, was Salem's vice-president for communications. She had joined Salem in September 2025 and registered as a foreign agent for Israel a month later.[2]
Ownership
The Intercept reported in May 2026 that WaterStone, a Colorado-based non-profit that already controlled a 49.5 per cent voting interest in Salem, had announced it would buy the remaining shares and take the company private. It added that the Hexagon Foundation, led by the oil billionaire Tim Dunn, was WaterStone's largest institutional donor.[2]
