Its objects are to advance the Christian religion by promoting the Gospel "in the UK, Israel and elsewhere" and to relieve need. It has a "special focus on Israel", sends a monthly prayer bulletin to nearly 5,000 subscribers and runs a weekly online gathering with speakers from Israel and the UK. In the year ended 31 March 2025 income was £945,014 (2024: £608,562) and expenditure £649,935.[2]

The register describes its activities as: "The first concern of PFI is prayer for Messianic and Arab believers in the Biblical land of Israel. Prayer partners also direct their giving to provide practical support and relieve hardship and distress in Israel and elsewhere."[1]

Funding in Israel

  • FY2025 distributions totalled £365,844, including restricted grants of £262,395 (institutions £241,915; individuals £20,480) across more than 401 grants, to individuals and institutions "mainly based in Israel" and to "known ministries and organisations that promote the Christian message". The largest single recipient was the Emergency Relief Fund Israel.[2]
  • The charity also funded a retreat for "Arab pastors' wives in Cyprus".[2] A designated fund of £432,458 came from the sale of the freehold of the predecessor charity.[2]

Israeli partners

Recipients are described only as Christian ministries and individuals, mainly in Israel; apart from the Emergency Relief Fund Israel none is named.[2]

Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF

Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.

Evidence of activity beyond the 1949 armistice line
Finding Confidence
No recipient's location in Israel or the occupied territories is given.[2] Not established

Support for the IDF: No IDF or military funding is stated. The largest single grant recipient was the "Emergency Relief Fund Israel"; the accounts do not describe what that fund paid for.[2]

Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[3] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[4][5][6][7] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[8]
  • Inconsistent reserves figures. The trustees' report, the statement of financial activities and note 21 give total funds of £1,107,263 (unrestricted £1,091,312), but note 22 (analysis of net assets) gives £1,007,263 (unrestricted £991,312), a difference of £100,000. The report also gives prior-year unrestricted funds as £786,133, against £787,133 in the statement of financial activities.[2]
  • Website unavailable. The charity's website returned an error when checked on 14 October 2026, and no Wayback Machine captures were found.
