Eric Joyce was in the news for becoming Britain's most expensive MP in three seperate years between 2001 and 2008. Investigations into MP's expenses uncovered that Joyce who admitted being a close friend of Ross Martin had given contracts to Networks Central Ltd worth £8,000 in 2005/06. No other firms were invited to bid for the work[2].
