Manna - UK Branch of Meir Panim
Manna is a UK-based charity (1129738) and company (Company number 06772130) formerly known as Meir Panim UK, which provides funds to Meir Panim, an Israel-based charity which provides aid to poor Israelis.[1] As well as operating within '48 'Israel', the charity also operates in the illegally occupied West Bank. The organisation manages employment centres for Haredi Jews.[2] These centers are known as 'Mafteach Centers' and are funded by the Israeli state and the Tevet Employment Initiative of the Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.[2] There is one such center in the West Bank settlement Beitar Illit and plans to establish another in the settlement in Modi'in Illit.[2] [3]
Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the UK is patron of the UK charity.[4]
