Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[8] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[9][10][11][12] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[13]
  • Loan from a trustee and negative reserves. Note 14 says Rabbi C E Goldblatt advanced an interest-free loan of £19,000, of which £3,800 was outstanding at 30 April 2025, unsecured and repayable on demand with three months' notice; the balance sheet shows cash of £2,086 against creditors of £4,550 (note 14).[2]
  • Withdrawn accounting framework. The independent examiner notes that the accounts were prepared under the SORP "issued on 1 April 2005", which "has now been withdrawn".[2]
