In the news

  • In November 2023 The Guardian reported residents' complaints about damp and long-derelict homes on the Little London estate in Rotherham, where Rivergrove and Probex were among the biggest landlords. Grosskopf, quoted as a director of both, said Rivergrove was a responsible landlord that had invested 'hundreds of thousands of pounds' and had received no notices of defects.[11]
  • In February 2024 the High Court (Master Clark) heard a claim by Chaim Saul Grosskopf, a beneficiary of the M Grosskopf 1974 Settlement Trust, seeking the appointment of a judicial trustee in place of the trustees Yechiel Grosskopf and Jacob Moshe Grosskopf. The trust's holdings include Atlas Estates Limited, Lanturn Limited and Rivergrove Limited. The defendants denied acting dishonestly or improperly. The court held that the dispute was covered by an operative arbitration agreement before the Beth Din of the Federation of Synagogues, so the claimant could not relitigate it in court.[12]
