Gordon Hewitt

Gordon Hewitt is a Distinguished Professor of International Business & Corporate Strategy at the University of Michigan Business School and sits on the International Advisory Board for Scottish Enterprise. [1]

Born and educated in Glasgow, he is Chairman of Court at the University of Abertay, Dundee. [2] He is Visiting Professor of Business Strategy at the Manchester Business School as well as a Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Glasgow.

Companies for whom he has worked for include: Sony, Diageo, Citigroup, IBM, Motorola, Honeywell, Akzo Nobel, XL Capital, Zurich Financial Services, Dimension Data, Barclays Bank, Harley-Davidson & American Standard. [3]

He has published a book entitled 'Economics of the Market', regarded as a standard text in competitive theory and practice and has also represented Scotland for golf at an international level. [4]
