"Ziona" was the name given to women's Zionist societies, particularly the youth wings of the Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO), designed to draw young Jewish women to the Zionist movement.
Other groups such as the Order of Ancient Maccabeans established "Ziona" groups to help groom Jewish youth to enter the Zionist movement.
