Friends of Nahalat Moshe is a UK registered charity (no. 327229). According to the Charity Commission the charity exists to provide support for the Nahalat Moshe yeshiva in Jerusalem and to promote Orthodox Jewish religion and religious education, including support for indigent students of the college.[1] The yeshiva is located in the illegal settlement of Ramot in occupied East Jerusalem.[2][3]

History

Declaration of trust dated 1 July 1986; standard registration 4 October 1986.[5]

Haredi press has referred to Yeshivas Chai Chachma as “formerly Nachlat Moshe,” still in the Ramot area of Jerusalem (Rosh Yeshiva named there as Rav Moshe Ben-Naim).[6]

The charity's registered objects read: "(A) FOR THE BENEFIT OF SUCH ONE OR MORE CHARITIES, CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS OR CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD IN SUCH SHARES AND IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION MAY FROM TIME OT TIME DETERMINE.(B) PROMOTING ORTHODOX JEWISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND IN PARTICULAR BY ASSISTING THE COLLEGE IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT."[7]
