Fair Play Campaign Group
(Redirected from Fair Play Campaign)
The Fair Play Campaign opposes Boycott Divestment and Sanctions campaigns in relation to Israel. It ran the Stop The Boycott campaign. According to the website www.somethingjewish.co.uk:
- A new British group which aims to provide a coordinated approach to combating anti-Israel campaigns has been launched under the auspices of the Board of Deputies and Jewish Leadership Council. The Fair Play Campaign Group (FPCG) will work across the Jewish community as well as other supporters of Israel in ways to deal with any current or planned boycotts against Israel. Among the organisations already signed up to FPCG are the Academic Friends of Israel, Trade Union Friends of Israel, Union of Jewish Students, Friends of Israel-Academic Study Group and Britain Israel Communications and Research Centre. Joint chairs of FPCG are Henry Grunwald, president of the Board of Deputies and Brian Kerner, a member of the Jewish Leadership Council. Arieh Kovler, a former development worker at Jewish youth organisation AJ6 has been appointed as coordinator of the group.[1]
