Elizabeth Lloyd is a former adviser to Tony Blair and is now CEO of Standard Chartered Tanzania.

Career

Lloyd was an adviser to the Rt Hon Tony Blair between 1993-2007, working as deputy chief of staff at 10 Downing Street between 2005 and 2007.[1]

She then started work at Standard Chartered bank, originally as programme manager, group regulatory risk in February 2008, she is now CEO of Tanzania office. Her move to Standard Chartered was approved by ACOBA, "subject to the condition that, for 12 months from her last day of service, she should not be personally involved in lobbying UK Government Ministers or officials. The condition does not preclude contacts with Government or the FSA in the normal course of her regulatory compliance duties in the bank".[2]

When she left government she also worked as a self-employed consultant 'advising on strategy, governance, organisation, public and press relations, and stakeholder management', the role was approved by ACOBA, "subject to the condition that, for 12 months from her last day of service, she should not be personally involved in lobbying UK Government Ministers or officials on behalf of any new employer".[2]
