Funding in Israel
- 2009: grant of £40,000 to the "Museum Charity in Jerusalem" (2008: nil).[3]
- 2012: register spending of £134,927; the archived accounts for that year were not found.[2]
Israeli partners
The accounts name only "the Museum in Jerusalem".[3] The Museum for Islamic Art in Jerusalem says it was "founded in the 1960s by Vera Bryce Salomons", whose great-uncle was Sir David Salomons; no source read for this profile links the charity to that museum.[11]
Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF
Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.
| Finding | Confidence |
|---|---|
| The accounts place the supported museum "in Jerusalem" without naming it or giving an address.[3] | Medium (city named in the accounts; museum not named) |
Support for the IDF: No IDF or military funding is stated in the register entry or the archived 2009 accounts.[1][3]
Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry naming this charity was found; it is not named in the 2025–2026 cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements or statement of results, and the charities in the August 2026 settlements class inquiry have not been named.[12][13][14][15][16] The register shows it as removed, giving the reason "Ceased to exist".[1]
- Unnamed museum. The accounts refer only to "the Museum in Jerusalem" and the "Museum Charity in Jerusalem".[3]
