Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council
The Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC) is a not for profit membership company with a mandate to 'facilitate increased trade and investment across the Commonwealth'.

Activities
Set up in 2013, the CWEIC is a small secretariat supported by an advisory board.
They are responsible for organising the Commonwealth Business Forum and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).[1]

- Lord Marland of Odstock, chairman CWEIC. Former member of the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy and chairman of the Business Ambassador Network, minister for the Department of Energy and Climate Change in 2010 and subsequently for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and founding director of Jardine Lloyd Thompson plc.
- Mark Simmonds, non-executive deputy chairman CWEIC. A UK Conservative Party MP from 2001 to 2015, former shadow minister for health, education, foreign and commonwealth affairs, and international development and parliamentary under-secretary foreign and commonwealth office. Resigned from parliament saying he could not live on his wage of £89,000.
