It aims to provides teachers with 'all the tools and technology they need to excel'.

Business

Formerly known as TSL Education, the company publishes TES (formerly known as the Times Educational Supplement), a weekly UK publication aimed primarily at school teachers in the UK. It also owns Times Higher Education (THE) magazine and THE World University Rankings.

TES Global's revenues come from advertising – both digital and print – and it is a leading player in teacher recruitment.

Edtech and digital marketplace

TES Global also offers a range of services targeted at teachers. It has a reportedly 7m million community of teachers who have long used TES as a platform to freely share classroom resources. According to TES, more than 4.9 million resources are downloaded from the TES websites a week. In February 2015, TES made this into an online marketplace, where teachers could buy and sell resources they had created.

In 2014 it launched TES Labs, which will enable education technology start-ups to get teacher feedback on their products, but more importantly, will enable edtech companies to market products to teachers based on information provided in their membership profiles.
