The National Co-ordinator for Domestic Extremism is a senior police officer appointed by the Association of Chief Police Officers to oversee national investigations into domestic extremism, including the work of local forces as well as that of National Extremism Tactical Co-ordination Unit (NETCU), the National Public Order Intelligence Unit (NPOIU) and the National Crime Squad.[1]

The Guardian reported in October 2009 that the National Domestic Extremism Team also reports to the National Co-ordinator for Domestic Extremism.[2]

Assistant Chief Constable Anton Setchell was appointed to the role in July 2004.[3] He retired in November 2010. Adrian Tudway has been National Co-ordinator for Domestic Extremism since November 2010.[4]
