Adrian Tudway

Detective Chief Superintendent Adrian Tudway oversees the three "domestic extremism" police units. NETCU,NPOIU (of which the CIU is a section) and NDET are the three units answering to ACPO. As the "national co-ordinator for domestic extremism" he commands about 100 staff and has a budget of about £9m a year.[1]

Career history

According to the NETCU website

DCS Tudway has been a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Service for over 25 years. During that time he has worked extensively in Serious and Organised crime, counter-terrorism activities and has detailed knowledge of protest and public order policing. Mr Tudway joined the domestic extremism unit as deputy National Coordinator for Domestic Extremism to ACC Anton Setchell in January this year [2010].[2]
