Lobbying

The States of Guernsey have employed lobbying agency Grayling Political Strategy for a number of years. [1] [2]

In April 2011 the Governments of Guernsey and Jersey appointed a former British Ambassador to Bulgaria to head a new Channel Islands Brussels office. Steve Williams took up the role of director of European affairs. He is according to Public Affairs News, 'leading efforts to develop the islands’ influence, while advising the respective governments on European matters'. Williams had also previously been posted with the UK Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. [3]
