Distinguished Professor of International Business & Corporate Strategy, University of Michigan Business School

Gordon is a leading consultant in corporate strategy whose work aims to enable executives to handle higher levels of competitive complexity and uncertainty. Born and educated in Glasgow, he divides his time between the USA and Europe.

He is Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Glasgow where he started his career and is Visiting Professor of Business Strategy at Manchester Business School.

He advises the Sony Corporation on the development of global strategy for the new era of digital convergence and entertainment. He works with Diageo on world-wide strategy and other clients include Citigroup, IBM, Motorola, Honeywell, Akzo Nobel, XL Capital, Zurich Financial Services, Dimension Data, Barclays Bank, Harley-Davidson & American Standard.

His book Economics of the Market is a standard text in competitive theory and practice. He represented Scotland as an international golfer.
