Yeshivat Tefahot (also Yeshivat Netiv Tefahot, Yeshivat HaHesder Tefahot) is a hesder yeshiva at Moshav Tefahot in the Lower Galilee. It says it was founded in 2001 with two aims, one of which was "to support and strengthen Jewish settlement in the Galilee" (לתמוך ולחזק את ההתיישבות היהודית בגליל), and that it has about 200 students "who combine military service within the framework of the hesder yeshivot".[1] The Igud Yeshivot HaHesder names Rabbi Eyal Greiner as its head.[2]
Location
Moshav Tefahot is in the Galilee, inside the 1949 armistice lines.[2]
Link to IDF service
The yeshiva describes its students as combining military service with study in the hesder framework.[1] Hesder yeshivot combine yeshiva study with service in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) under an arrangement with Israel's Ministry of Defence.[3]
