Latest accounts (income/expenditure): Group accounts for FY to 31 Dec 2009 (filed 26 Nov 2010; scanned, read by OCR, € thousands, consolidated): revenues 487,814 (2008: 543,309); operating income 6,029 (2008: loss 4,938); net loss (106) (2008: (7,775)). No later accounts were filed.[3]

Arms trade involvement: None documented. The company's stated business is not in the arms trade.

Supply to the IDF / Israel MOD / Israeli security services: None documented in the sources reviewed.

Activities in the occupied territories: Corporate Watch reports that Agrexco had a regional office in the occupied Jordan Valley and worked with growers in most settlements there, and that its general manager told a 2004 UK trial that it marketed 60–70% of all agricultural produce grown in Israeli settlements.[4] Successor company: Who Profits documents packing houses of Agrexco Carmel (now owned by Ampa Group) in four Jordan Valley settlements in 2022 and a blueberry farm in the occupied Syrian Golan.[5] The 2022 findings relate to the successor business, not to this UK establishment.

Links to the Israeli government: Set up by the Israeli government in 1956 as a state-owned exporter[5]; Globes described it as "government-owned" when it went into liquidation.[2]

WZO / JNF / Jewish Agency / Keren Hayesod: None found in the sources reviewed.

Controversies (protests, legal cases, export-licence rulings):

  • Target of UK and European boycott campaigns from 2004 for trading settlement goods, including a 2004 blockade of its UK depot that led to a trial of seven activists.[4]
  • Entered formal liquidation in Sept 2011 after losses that Corporate Watch attributes partly to boycotts in Europe.[4][2] In April 2012 the UK Co-op stopped buying from Agrexco and other exporters over settlement links.[6]
