All Party Parliamentary Group on the Impact of Shale Gas

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on the Impact of Shale Gas was set up in March 2018. It's purpose is to 'explore and debate legislation, policy, regulation and data on shale gas exploration and extraction in the UK and abroad'.
It is chaired by Conservative MP Lee Rowley, who has vociferously opposed plans by giant petrochemical firm Ineos to explore for shale gas in the village of Marsh Lane in his constituency. Rowley is one of two APPG member MPs whose constituencies include oil and gas licences issued to Ineos. Co vice-chair Sir Kevin Barron MP represents Rother Valley, which includes the Harthill Ineos site. Other co-vice-chairs are Conservative MP Ben Bradley and Labour MP Louise Haigh. [1]
