David Puttnam (Lord Puttnam) is a life peer in the House of Lords. He became a Labour Party member of the Lords in November 1997. [1] Puttnam is a British film producer and educator.

We Are the People We’Ve Been Waiting for
The 2009 documentary We Are the People We’Ve Been Waiting for is based on an idea by David Puttnam and education reformer Michael Barber. It was given away free in the Guardian and was accompanied by a promotional campaign that targeted, among others education bloggers. One blog described it as the 'British Waiting for Superman.
