Views
Israel
Land's support for Israel is grounded in typical Christian Zionist views:
- I believe, as an Evangelical Christian, that the Jewish return to their current homeland in the twentieth century was, and is, a fulfillment of biblical prophecy.I also believe that the twentieth century furnishes vivid and instructive illustration of the truth that God blesses those who bless the Jews and vice versa.[2]
US-Israel Alliance
Regarding the alliance between the United States and Israel, Land has written:
- A reporter once asked me, "What do you do when the fundamental national interest of America and Israel diverge or conflict?" I answered, "That's a trick question. Since the Abrahamic Covenant's promises are still in force, thefundamental interests of America and Israel cannot diverge. If Americans want America to be blessed, they must bless Israel."[2]
Gay Rights
Land is an opponent of Gay rights:
- “The homosexual movement is not stupid, and they have gone after the most iconic symbols of America,” Land said in the radio interview. “What’s more iconic than the military? So they have gone after the military. What’s more iconic than the Boy Scouts? They have gone after these symbols because they want society to normalize and affirm their behavior their behavior and abnormalize and ostracize those of us who hold a biblical convictions about what the bible has to day about homosexual behavior.”[3]
