Bernard Bulkin (aka Bernie) is a former BP chief scientist who is currently Chairman of the Office of Renewable Energy Deployment at DECC.
Background
- Bernie is a member of the DTI Sustainable Energy Policy Advisory Board, the Board of Governors of Argonne National Lab in the US, Chairman of AEA Technology plc, a non-executive director of Severn Trent plc and Accelergy Corporation, a professorial fellow of New Hall, Cambridge, and serves on numerous charitable boards. Born in a New Jersey farmhouse and educated on the streets of New York, as well as at several fine universities, Bernie was formerly Chief Scientist of BP. [1]
In 2006 he was chair for energy and transport at the Sustainable Development Commission, chairman of AEA Technology, and a partner in Vantage Point Venture Partners.
