Tim Garden is a former Air Marshal, MoD Planner, thinktank analyst and Liberal Democrat defence spokesman. He died of cancer in 2007 aged 63. He was nominated by former Lib Dem leader Charles Kennedy for the house of Lords in 2004 making him Lord Baron of Hampstead. He was a former director of Chatham House during 1997-98[1].
