Former Group Treasurer and Director of Risk Management with Diageo now (in 2008) serves as Managing Director, British Gas with energy firm Centrica. Bently is also a Non-Executive Director and the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Kingfisher plc. He was formerly Finance Director of UVD Guinness and spent 15 years with BP plc "in various international oil and gas exploration roles".[1]
