Nick Hurd
Nick Hurd has been the Conservative Party member of Parliament (MP) for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner since 2010. He was previously MP for Ruislip and Northwood from 2005 to 2010. He was appointed a Parliamentary Secretary in the Cabinet Office in 2010.[1] He left the Government in July 2014.[2]
In the 2015 general election, Hurd retained his seat with 60 percent of the vote and a majority of 20,224. [3]
Background
Hurd is the son of Douglas Hurd, Conservative MP for Mid Oxfordshire 1974-83 and Witney 1983-97; the grandson of Sir Anthony Hurd, Conservative MP for Newbury 1945-64; and the great-grandson of Sir Percy Hurd, Conservative MP for Frome 1918-23 and Devizes 1924-45.[4]
