Clare Foges

Clare Foges was the speechwriter for David Cameron from 2009 to after the 2015 general election. She is praised with drafting his much anticipated speech on Europe in January 2013.
As Mr Cameron's speechwriter Foges was paid an annual salary of £70,000. [1]
Background
Foges attained a Master's degree in Poetry before going on to work in the Westminster office of John Hayes (MP for South Holland and The Deepings) in 2006. She went on to work full-time on Boris Johnson’s mayoral campaign. [2]
Foges went to a comprehensive school, gaining a first in English at Southampton University before studying for her Masters in Poetry at Bristol. [3]
