Ben Mascall is the deputy director of communications for the Conservative Party. [1] Patrick McLoughlin hired Mascall to do his media. Until recently Ben was fire-fighting on the education brief as a CCHQ press officer. [2]
Mascall was hired to replace Tim Collins. Giles Kenningham said that "Tim's departure is a big loss but in Ben we've got a first-class operator who will be a great asset to the press office." [1]
History
Mascall was political press adviser for Health and Education for the Conservative Party from November 2010 –to September 2012. Previous to this, he was an account director at Bell Pottinger Group from August 2010 – November. [1] In 2009 Mascall was an account director at MS&L Worldwide and prior to this he was an Account Manager for a year. Macall was also a senior consultant at Financial Dynamics from June 2006 until May 2008. [1] He is formerly the special adviser for the Department for Transport to David Cameron.
