Jacqui Low
Jacqui Low is a PR operative who runs Indigo Strategic Communications based in Edinburgh. She is a former special advisor to Michael Forsyth the former Scottish Secretary.
According to a biographical note on the NHS 24 website:
- After graduating from Edinburgh University, Jacqui began her career in broadcasting in local radio in Dundee. This was followed by five years in the Press Office within The Scottish Office as a Ministerial Press Officer, primarily in the area of Industry and the Economy. During this time, she was also involved in crisis management of events such as Lockerbie, Piper Alpha and prison sieges.
- In 1994, she was invited to become Head of Communications and Research at the Scottish Conservative Party; this was the job that was voted the worst PR job in Scotland by Scotland on Sunday (the railways and the nuclear industry were runners up!). Between 1995-97, Jacqui was Special Adviser to then Secretary of State, Michael Forsyth working between Whitehall and Edinburgh. Her remit was wide-ranging from handling media relations, advising on external communications in the presentation of policy, organisation and political liaison. Post the 1997 election, Jacqui set up her own communications consultancy, Indigo (PR) Ltd, to specialise in reputation management using PR and strategic communications.[1]
